Ian is our Manager with plenty of experience in the Motor Trade and Motorsport in addition to a long career in professional Financial Services. He is also another Classic Car nut, with petrol flowing through his veins. As a longstanding friend and customer of the garage, you may have seen his baby blue Fiat 500F or heard his AC Cobra outside the garage or at our village shows over the years. He enjoys Track Days and is planning a series of events for the year ahead. His mission is to make the Motor Garage the go to facility for Classic Cars in the South of England.
Shep is a classic car technician and the most experienced member of the team. During his early career Shep trained and worked predominantly on Jaguar, Triumph and Rover cars and so has first-hand experience of these vehicles from the first time around. More recently Shep spent 10 years working with Reeders Performance and Specialist Cars, working on a wide range of classics, including some very exotic cars. Shep has substantial track and race preparation expertise and is widely known and respected within the trade and local area. Shep is also a very experienced MOT tester.
Macaulay started working for us under a formal apprenticeship programme at Andover College and is now a fully qualified Level 3 Car Technician. There is a strong mechanical tradition in his family as his grandfather maintained the bus fleet at Figheldean (was Tourist Coaches). He is doing an excellent job and is a real asset to the team. He is currently doing a ten week welding course at Andover College as he continues to expand his skills.
Jordan is the newest member of our workshop team and has recently qualified as an MoT Tester. Now a fully qualified technician, Jordan started working on cars when he was 15 years old and has deliberately acquired plenty of experience across a variety of different garages. He is also our diagnostic expert, enabling us to analyse messages from the on-board computers found in modern cars today.
Sean is the youngest member of our team and had already restored a Mini, a Beetle and a couple of Jaguars at home before he joined us! He started working on classic cars at the tender age of 15 and is a real enthusiast. He is currently working under Shep’s wing, learning fast and will soon become a real classic car expert.
